job summary:

the operations technical is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems within the cbg plant. the role involves ensuring preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance practices are followed to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime of the plant operations.

key responsibilities:

maintenance planning & execution:

o expertise requires in operations of vpsa based biogas upgradation plant operations and maintenance work.

o daily production target planning and responsible for minimized the downtime of the cbg plant.

o oversee daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules for all equipment and systems within the cbg plant.

o supervise the team in performing regular inspections, diagnostics, and repair work on plant machinery, piping systems, and electrical components.

o ensure all equipment of the cbg plant (crusher, conveyors, agitator, blower’s biogas compressors, dispenser, cascades purification unit, pipelines, motors, etc.) operates at optimal performance.

o inventory management of critical spare and consumable items for the cbg plant.

o monitor and enforce compliance with safety and quality standards.

team management & supervision:

o lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and operators, ensuring efficient task delegation and performance.

o conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge on new technologies and safety practices.

o ensure the team adheres to maintenance sops and work safety guidelines.

troubleshooting & problem solving:

o identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to machinery, equipment, or operational systems.

o analyze breakdown causes and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.

inventory & spare parts management:

o oversee the inventory management for spare parts and maintenance tools.

o ensure timely ordering and stock of critical components to avoid delays in maintenance work.

safety & compliance:

o enforce plant safety policies and maintain a safe working environment for all maintenance personnel.

o ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations specific to the biogas and energy industry.

o conduct regular safety audits with help of site safety incharge and risk assessments of the plant and maintenance processes.

performance monitoring & reporting:

o track and analyze key performance indicators (kpis) related to plant maintenance, such as downtime, repair costs, and equipment efficiency.

o prepare and present reports on maintenance activities, highlighting improvements, issues, and corrective actions.

collaboration with other departments:

o coordinate with the production and operations teams to minimize plant downtime during maintenance periods.

o assist in plant upgrades or installations of new systems by providing technical support.

o check the provision sheet and verified the daily expenses from site.

qualifications:

educational background:

bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation engineering or a related field.

diploma/iti in engineering with relevant experience may also be considered.

skills:

knowledge of plant machinery, equipment, and preventive maintenance systems.

strong leadership and team management abilities.

excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

strong knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations.
