responsibilities:

• exhibits comprehensive knowledge of server, storage, and networking technologies

• participate in short- and long-term planning effort with stakeholders it groups

• assist in establishing requirements, methods, and procedures for routine maintenance.

• ensure performance meets the present and future needs of the business. forecast utilization patterns and identify modifications or upgrades

• perform level 3 issue assessment and resolution on storage systems

• investigate alternative methods to expedite problem resolution

• recommend procedures and controls for problem resolution or create temporary solutions until permanent solutions can be implemented

• maintain excellent working relationship with 3rd party vendors

• ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability

• proactively monitor storage service environments; establish, recommend system/service policies

• works independently; may require guidance in highly complex situations

• supports others to solve complex problems

• identifies innovative solutions through sophisticated analytical thinking

• interact well with all levels of management across multiple teams

• ensure procedures are followed and mechanisms are in place to ensure compliance to technical designs, best practices, and are well supported

requirements:

• experience managing current backup technologies

• prior experience with clumio, veeam, and rubrik a plus

• experience managing current storage technologies

• prior experience with netapp and pure

• experience implementing and managing object storage

• experience with powershell, powercli, and vmware

• ability to be flexible and adapt to changing environments

• strong organizational, time management and communication skills

• strong technical background and ability to work with engineers, developers, and other key stakeholder
