Responsibilities:

Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of server, storage, and networking technologies

Participate in short- and long-term planning effort with stakeholders IT groups

Assist in establishing requirements, methods, and procedures for routine maintenance.

Ensure performance meets the present and future needs of the business. Forecast utilization patterns and identify modifications or upgrades

Perform Level 3 issue assessment and resolution on storage systems

Investigate alternative methods to expedite problem resolution

Recommend procedures and controls for problem resolution or create temporary solutions until permanent solutions can be implemented

Maintain excellent working relationship with 3rd Party vendors

Ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability

Proactively monitor storage service environments; Establish, recommend system/service policies

Works independently; may require guidance in highly complex situations

Supports others to solve complex problems

Identifies innovative solutions through sophisticated analytical thinking

Interact well with all levels of management across multiple teams

Ensure procedures are followed and mechanisms are in place to ensure compliance to technical designs, best practices, and are well supported

Requirements:

Experience managing current backup technologies

Prior experience with Clumio, Veeam, and Rubrik a plus

Experience managing current storage technologies

Prior experience with NetApp and Pure

Experience implementing and managing object storage

Experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI, and VMware

Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing environments

Strong organizational, time management and communication skills

Strong technical background and ability to work with engineers, developers, and other key stakeholder
