job responsibilities:

read and interpret engineering drawings and bar bending schedules (bbs).

measure, cut, bend, and place steel bars and mesh to reinforce concrete.

tie rebar using binding wire, pliers, or tying tools.

set out the work according to plans and ensure correct spacing and alignment.

install reinforcement for columns, beams, slabs, foundations, and walls.

check all reinforcement is secure before concrete is poured.

maintain tools and work area in good condition.

follow safety standards and ppe requirements on-site.

requirements:

prior experience as a steel fixer / rebar worker

ability to read structural drawings and bbs

skilled in measuring, cutting, and tying rebar

physically fit and able to work in outdoor and construction environments

team player with attention to detail
