Staff Nurse (1-5 Years)

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. To assess the needs of the patients in the ward and make nursing care plan for all patients consulting with doctor on duty/ Consultant.

2. To direct patient care (bed making, changing of bed sheets, mouth care, back care, bed bathing, changing of position etc) and allotted care to him/her by the doctor/consultant/in-charge.

3. To provide comfort position to the patient and maintain safety of the patient.

4. To take over the charge from duty nurse of previous shift, regarding patient (bed to bed), drugs etc and handed over the same to the next shift.

5. Ensure to make the unit clean and tidy including bed.

6. To keep all articles well-arranged and maintain inventory.

7. To help the doctor/consultant/in-charge for supervision of work of housekeeping/attendants allotted in the unit for maintenance of cleanliness and sanitation.

8. To make the list of patient belongs and keep in safe custody according to laid down policy of the hospital and to hand over to the relatives directly.

9. To keep a stock of drugs, linen and other supplies for unit maintenance.

10. To sterilize all articles, maintain all equipment
