job summary

we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented fiber optic splicer to join our telecom deployment team. the ideal candidate will have a strong background in splicing, testing, and troubleshooting optical fiber networks.

key responsibilities

• perform fiber splicing on live and new cable networks (ftth/fttx/backbone).

• handle otdr, power meter, and splicing machines efficiently.

• interpret fiber network plans, routes, and schematics.

• execute fiber testing, fault finding, and rectification.

• coordinate with field teams for network activation and maintenance.

• ensure proper documentation of splicing records and daily reports.

• maintain safety protocols and quality standards at all job sites.

required skills

• strong knowledge of optical fiber types, color codes, and standards.

• proficient with fusion splicing machines and fiber test tools (otdr, vfl).

• ability to work in field conditions and travel to deployment areas.

• basic understanding of telecom infrastructure and routes.

• good physical stamina for outdoor tasks.

qualification & experience

• 12th pass or iti in electrical, electronics, or telecommunication

• minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic splicing
