key responsibilities:
1. site survey & feasibility:
conduct detailed site surveys to assess roof strength, dimensions, shade analysis, and electrical availability.
record technical parameters such as irradiance, tilt, azimuth, and roof accessibility.
prepare site feasibility reports and recommend system sizing.
2. system design & planning:
coordinate with design engineers to develop pv system layouts, slds (single line diagrams), and electrical schematics.
assist in selecting appropriate modules, inverters (string/micro), mounting structures, and bos.
plan project timelines, installation sequences, and manpower/resource requirements.
3. project execution & installation:
supervise installation of:
mounting structures
solar modules
inverter systems and ac/dc wiring
earthing and lightning protection systems
ensure alignment with design, layout, and installation standards (mnre, iec, bis, etc.).
manage subcontractors, labor teams, and vendors on-site.
4. electrical integration & commissioning:
oversee inverter wiring, grid synchronization, and system energization.
conduct system testing: continuity, insulation resistance, inverter operation, and i-v curve testing.
commission the system and coordinate the net metering process with utility if applicable.
5. documentation & handover:
prepare daily progress reports, quality checklists, and site activity logs.
assist in preparing handover documents: commissioning report, user manuals, warranty documents, and as-built drawings.
conduct client training on system operation, maintenance, and monitoring portals.
