Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Full Time)

Job Description

ViewRay Systems is currently seeking a Senior Electronic Design Engineer, who will share our passion for conquering cancer and help us innovate and develop novel cancer therapy systems.

Responsibilities:

€¢ Experience in Design and Development in embedded systems, Data acquisition systems.

€¢ Develop high quality design requirements for electronic components.

€¢ Work with the team, tech leads to understanding the project goals, architecture.

€¢ Capture design ideas into schematics for variety of analog, data acquisition, digital interfaces, communication modules.

€¢ Articulate out the mechanical and electrical design requirements for the artwork such that the PCB and more complex subassemblies perform adequately to meet the design requirements, safety requirements, etc.

€¢ Lead PCB Artwork design projects

€¢ Review the Medical device related safety standards, Derive the design requirements to meet the standard and test protocols to execute the demonstrate compliance.

€¢ Perform design and risk analysis for a safe and reliable product.

€¢ Perform hands-on activities such as prototype assembly, installation, and testing.

€¢ Produce excellent design documentation describing design description, test methods, manufacturing and installation aspects of assemblies.

€¢ Responsible for managing design files and materials in git.

€¢ Provide technical support to internal/external design and manufacturing partners.

Required Qualifications

€¢ BSEE or other related degree with 6 years of experience.

€¢ Able to quickly grasp user level or system requirements and translate into subsystem requirements and designs.

€¢ Strong understanding of mixed signal circuit design and DSPs

€¢ EMC compatible design experience

€¢ Circuit design and simulation tool experience (. Altium, spice, Matlab).

€¢ Excellent Communication Skills to explain ideas.

€¢ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

€¢ Must be able to work around strong magnetic field.

Preferred Qualifications

€¢ MSEE with 3 years of experience

€¢ Experience designing to various standards under IEC (Medical Electrical Devices).

€¢ Proven Analog design experience.

€¢ Demonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities

€¢ Effective oral and written communication skills

€¢ Familiarity with signal and data processing using math tools or python.
