JOB DESCRIPTION - SENIOR SITE ENGINEER

Position: Senior Site Engineer

Department: Projects / Construction

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage day-to-day construction activities at the project site.

Ensure execution is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

Coordinate with Project Managers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.

Plan daily work activities and ensure optimum utilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.

Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and coordinate for technical clarifications.

Monitor quality of work and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.

Check site measurements, quantities, and work progress for billing purposes.

Coordinate with QS and QA/QC teams for measurements, billing, inspections, and quality requirements.

Identify technical and site-related issues and ensure timely resolution.

Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed within the planned schedule.

Conduct site meetings and coordinate with contractors for work planning and execution.

Maintain daily progress reports, site records, material records, and other project documentation.

Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures at the site.

Monitor material requirements and coordinate with the procurement team.

Assist the Project Manager in achieving project quality, cost, and schedule targets.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of construction methods and site execution.

Good understanding of RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

Good knowledge of BOQ, measurements, and quantity estimation.

Strong leadership, coordination, and team-management skills.

Good knowledge of QA/QC and construction safety practices.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.

Good communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Candidate

A technically strong and experienced Civil Engineer with proven expertise in site execution, team handling, contractor coordination, quality control, and project planning, capable of independently managing site activities and ensuring timely completion of work.
