About the Role:
We are looking for a highly driven and result-oriented Senior Business Development Manager with proven experience in the EdTech industry. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in inside sales, counseling, revenue generation, team handling, conversion strategy, and customer relationship management.
The candidate will be responsible for driving admissions/revenue, managing the sales team, improving conversion ratios, building scalable sales processes, and contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive revenue generation by converting qualified leads into enrollments/admissions.
Manage the complete sales cycle from lead allocation to counseling, follow-up, objection handling, and closure.
Lead, mentor, and monitor a team of Business Development Associates / Executives / Managers.
Build and implement strong sales strategies, scripts, and conversion processes to improve team productivity.
Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance of the sales team against targets.
Analyze lead quality, funnel drop-offs, and conversion ratios, and take corrective actions.
Handle escalated student/customer queries and ensure a strong counseling experience.
Collaborate closely with the marketing team to improve lead quality and campaign outcomes.
Maintain accurate reporting through CRM tools, dashboards, and sales trackers.
Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and channel growth possibilities within the EdTech space.
Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new sales team members.
Ensure strong discipline in follow-ups, pipeline management, and revenue forecasting.
Continuously improve sales performance through process optimization and coaching.
Required Skills:
Strong experience in EdTech sales / admissions / course selling
Proven track record in high-ticket sales
Excellent communication, negotiation, and objection-handling skills
Strong team management and leadership abilities
Hands-on experience with CRM tools and lead management systems
Strong understanding of sales funnel management
Ability to work in a target-driven, fast-paced environment
Good analytical skills for reviewing performance and improving conversion metrics
Strong follow-up and closure mindset
Ability to train and scale a sales team
