Cathlab Scrub Nurse - Vasai East Mumbai

Job Summary:

The Cath Lab Scrub Nurse provides direct sterile assistance during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This role supports safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care by maintaining strict aseptic technique, assisting physicians during procedures, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary cath lab team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain a sterile field for all cath lab procedures

Scrub in and assist during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures

Anticipate procedural needs and provide appropriate instruments and devices

Handle catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, sheaths, and related equipment

Ensure adherence to infection control and sterile technique standards

Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and sterile draping

Prepare medications and contrast agents per physician order and policy

Monitor and document supplies, implants, and equipment used

Collaborate with physicians, circulating nurses, and technologists

Respond effectively during emergency situations such as STEMI or cardiac arrest

Assist with specimen handling and labeling as required

Perform post-procedure duties including room turnover and restocking

Ensure radiation safety compliance and proper use of protective equipment

Maintain accurate and timely procedural documentation

Qualifications:

ANM, GNM, GDA or nursing related education

MNC registration required

Cath Lab or critical care experience preferred

Experience as scrub nurse
