Key Responsibilities

Research and Experimentation:

Design, plan, and execute experiments to synthesize and analyze organic compounds.

Investigate chemical reactions and processes to develop new products or improve existing ones.

Utilize various laboratory techniques and equipment for chemical analysis and characterization.

Compound Synthesis:

Develop novel organic synthesis routes to create target molecules or materials.

Optimize reaction conditions to enhance yield, purity, and efficiency.

Scale up laboratory processes for potential industrial production.

Data Analysis and Documentation:

Accurately record experimental procedures, data, and results in laboratory notebooks.

Analyse and interpret experimental data using software tools and statistical methods.

Prepare detailed reports and technical documents summarizing research findings.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Handle hazardous materials and chemicals according to regulatory standards.

Stay current with industry regulations, safety procedures, and best practices.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including chemists, engineers, and researchers.

Share findings and insights through regular team meetings and presentations.

Literature Review:

Qualifications

A MSc Organic Chemistry or a related field is typically required, though some positions may accept candidates with a master s degree and relevant experience.

Strong knowledge of organic chemistry principles, reaction mechanisms, and spectroscopy techniques.

Proficiency in laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and data analysis tools.
