JOB TITLE: Lead- React and Next Developer

Summary:

As a React Lead Developer at Marmeto, you will lead and mentor a team of front-end developers to create scalable, performant, and visually engaging web applications using . You’ll work closely with designers, backend developers, and product managers to ensure seamless user experiences. Beyond coding, this role emphasizes leadership—you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team of at least 5 front-end developers, guiding them in best practices, architecture, and delivery timelines.

Skills:

5+ years of experience in front-end development, with at least 3+ years of hands-on & experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a lead role, managing a team of 5-10 developers.

Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React ecosystem.

Expertise in React Hooks, Context API, Redux/MobX, and component-driven development.

Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and CSS-in-JS libraries like Styled Components or Emotion.

Proficiency in REST and GraphQL API integration.

Experience with or similar React frameworks for SSR and performance optimization.

Comfortable with build tools and bundlers like Webpack, Vite, and Babel.

Knowledge of code splitting, lazy loading, performance tuning, and browser rendering behaviors.

Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library) and CI/CD workflows.

Strong Git skills and familiarity with branching, PR processes, and code reviews.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Leadership:

Lead a team of front-end engineers to deliver pixel-perfect, performant React applications.

Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of quality and ownership.

Plan sprints, distribute work efficiently, and ensure timely delivery.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, backend, QA, and product.

Guide team on architecture, scalability decisions, and best practices.

Technical Contribution:

Architect and develop reusable and scalable front-end components.

Ensure adherence to UI/UX design guidelines and accessibility standards (WCAG).

Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance.

Maintain a balance between functional and aesthetic design, focusing on responsive UI.

Stay updated with the latest in React and front-end technology trends.

Requirements

Mandatory:

Proven experience in building and leading complex React projects end-to-end.

Strong understanding of modern front-end architectures, performance best practices, and design systems.

Vision for continuing in a hands-on front-end technical leadership role for the next 5+ years.

Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like Jira, Trello, or Linear.

Essential:

Strong Git expertise and collaborative development workflows.

Familiarity with front-end testing, automation, and deployment processes.

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for front-end deployment.

Good to Have:

Experience with e-commerce platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, or headless CMS (Contentful, Sanity).

Familiarity with design tools like Figma, Sketch, Zeplin.

Knowledge of Web Vitals, Lighthouse, and other front-end performance tools.
