Overview : A radiation therapist's job is to deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients, as prescribed by a radiation oncologist, to treat cancer and other diseases. They work as part of a healthcare team, operating specialized equipment, monitoring patients, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Administering Radiation:

They operate linear accelerators and other radiation equipment to deliver precise doses of radiation to targeted areas.

Patient Positioning:

They carefully position patients for treatment, ensuring accuracy and minimizing exposure to healthy tissues.

Monitoring Patients:

They observe patients during treatment for any adverse reactions or side effects, and they may need to adjust treatment plans based on patient response.

Patient Education:

They explain treatment procedures, answer patient questions, and provide support and education on side effects and self-care.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS DIPLOMA

EXPERIENCE: FRESHERS/ EXPERIENCE
