Quality Assurance Engineer (2-6 Years)

qualification:- diploma / be / in civil / mechanical / electrical engineering.

experience :- 2–6 years of experience in qa/qc in epc, power transmission, railway ohe, or structural projects

key responsibilities:-

1. quality control & inspection :-

i) inspect raw materials, in-process fabrication, and finished products as per approved drawings, wps, itp, and quality plans.

ii) monitor cutting, fit-up, welding, drilling, machining, and finishing activities.

iii) ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications.  conduct visual inspection and coordinate ndt activities (ut, rt, mt, pt) where applicable.

2. welding & fabrication quality:-

i) ensure compliance with approved wps, pqr, and welder qualifications.

ii) verify welding parameters, consumables, pre-heat and post-weld heat treatment (if applicable).

iii)maintain welding records and traceability.

3. documentation & reporting:-

i) prepare and maintain quality records such as: o inspection reports o test certificates o material traceability records o ncrs and capa reports

ii) ensure timely submission of quality documents to clients / consultants.

4. non-conformance & corrective action:-

i);identify non-conformities during fabrication and inspection.

ii) raise ncrs and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.

iii) follow up on closure and effectiveness of corrective actions.

5. standards & compliance:-

i) ensure adherence to relevant standards such asis, astm, aws, asme, iso, en (as applicable)  support iso 9001 quality management system implementation and audits.  participate in internal and external quality audits.

6. client & third-party coordination:-

i) coordinate inspections with clients, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies.

ii) attend client inspections and resolve quality-related queries.

7. continuous improvement:-

i) assist in improving fabrication quality processes and reducing rework.

ii) support root cause analysis for quality issues.

iii) promote quality awareness among shop floor teams.
