The MEP QS Engineer manages cost control, contract administration, and project budgets related to MEP works to ensure financial efficiency throughout project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage detailed MEP BOQs and cost plans.
Monitor and track material usage and site progress to align with project budgets.
Evaluate and certify subcontractor/supplier invoices and claims.
Conduct periodic valuations and prepare interim and final payment applications.
Analyze and negotiate variation orders and change requests.
Assist in procurement processes and cost analysis of suppliers/subcontractors.
Maintain documentation for contracts, change orders, and project correspondence.
Liaise with project managers and engineers to ensure alignment of budget with execution.
Perform cost forecasting and risk assessment.
Provide project cost reports and advise on value engineering opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
48 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying.
Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP like SAP, ORacle.
Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
Familiarity with construction contracts, budgeting, and billing processes.
