Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned QA Lead with strong expertise in the Telecom BSS domain to lead quality assurance across mission-critical systems including Billing, CRM, Order Management, and Revenue Management. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in both manual and automation testing, along with proven experience in team leadership and quality governance within Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Strategy
Analyze business and technical requirements to define detailed test strategies.
Prioritize and scope testing in collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage across all BSS modules.
Test Execution & Automation
Lead all phases of testing: functional, regression, integration, and UAT.
Design and execute test cases using both manual and automation methods.
Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Robot Framework, Selenium, etc.
Conduct API testing with tools like Postman, REST Assured, and SOAP UI.
Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
Defect Management & Reporting
Manage defect lifecycle using tools such as JIRA and XRAY.
Collaborate closely with development teams for issue resolution.
Generate detailed test reports, dashboards, and defect trend analyses.
Collaboration & Leadership
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices.
Drive continuous improvement in QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Strong manual and automation testing experience in Telecom BSS systems.
Proficiency in tools like Robot Framework, Selenium, Postman, REST Assured, SOAP UI.
Basic knowledge of performance testing using JMeter.
Experience in backend testing using SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
Hands-on with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
Demonstrated ability to test and validate complex enterprise BSS applications.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Analytical and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
Capable of leading QA efforts independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Commitment to delivering high-quality software.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Telecommunications.
Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE are a strong advantage.
Exposure to microservices, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and AI-based testing tools is a plus.
