Python Expert

Responsibilities

- Execute a PoC study of migrating jobs from tools such as Ctrl-M, Autosys, etc to Airflow.

- Build together with OSPO, a tool to automate job migration

- Work closely with application teams to understand their production jobs’ complexities and incorporate them in the tool.

- Perform testing of the pilot jobs migrated using the tool to ensure the tool works as expected.

- Participate in all relevant team meetings and activities and provide updates on the progress on the PoC study.

- Review and ensure complete and appropriate handover of documentation prior to operational acceptance/adoption of the tool.

Profile Required

- 3-5 years of experience in IT development environment

- Strong knowledge in Python

- Excellent debugging skills

- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and Airflow

- Ability to understand job scheduling and workflows

- Quickly learn new concepts

Good to have:

- Prior migration experience

- Knowledge and experience with production jobs
