Job Description

Job Summary

The Project Lead is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring development projects aligned with the NGOs mission and donor requirements. The role involves managing field teams, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance, and delivering measurable social impact within approved timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Implementation

Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and activity schedules.

Lead end-to-end implementation of community-based programs.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Oversee field operations and provide regular guidance to project staff.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local authorities, donors, and partner organizations.

Represent the organization in meetings, forums, and coordination platforms.

Facilitate community mobilization and participation.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

Develop monitoring frameworks and track project KPIs.

Prepare periodic narrative and financial reports for donors and management.

Ensure proper documentation, data collection, and impact assessment.

Financial & Compliance Management

Manage project budgets and ensure proper utilization of funds.

Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and organizational policies.

Support audits and financial reviews.

Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor project officers and field staff.

Conduct performance reviews and capacity-building initiatives.

Foster a collaborative and mission-driven team culture.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Public Administration, Rural Development, or related field.

58 years of experience in project management within the NGO/development sector.

Experience working with government bodies, donors, and community stakeholders.

Strong knowledge of monitoring & evaluation frameworks.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
