Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation: Before starting the finishing process, degree, clean, and examine raw parts to find surface flaws like scratches, pits, or burrs.
Abrasive Selection: Depending on the material (brass, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.) and desired finish, select the appropriate order of abrasive wheels, belts, buffs, and polishing chemicals.
Manual & Machine Polishing: To remove surface material and provide a consistent texture, use automated polishing machines, handheld grinders, and manual lathes.
Finishing Mastery: Follow engineering blueprints for applying particular finishes, such as mirror, brush, satin, or matte finishes.
Dimensional Integrity: Keep a careful eye on material removal to make sure the polishing procedure doesn't jeopardize the dimensional tolerances listed in the technical drawings.
Quality Inspection: To confirm that the finish satisfies the Roughness Average values and aesthetic criteria, use surface roughness testers and visual inspection lamps.
Tool Maintenance: To guarantee reliable results and operator safety, clean and dress polishing wheels and keep equipment in optimal condition.
Safety & Environment: Follow stringent safety procedures, such as using personal protective equipment (PPE) (such as respirators and eye protection) and operating dust extraction systems correctly.
Experience: 2 to 5 yrs
Education: 10th, 12th or Above
