Job Summary

The Plant Head will be responsible for end-to-end manufacturing operations of Juicer Mixer Grinder (JMG) products, ensuring achievement of production, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and profitability targets. The role will lead Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Stores, and Dispatch functions while driving operational excellence, productivity improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

Lead overall plant operations for Juicer Mixer Grinder manufacturing.

Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

Monitor assembly lines, motor manufacturing, plastic molding, sheet metal, and packaging operations.

Improve plant capacity utilization and productivity.

Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, TPM, and OEE improvement initiatives.

Quality Management

Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.

Reduce rejection, rework, and warranty failures.

Lead internal and external audits.

Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.

Maintenance & Engineering

Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of machinery and utilities.

Improve machine uptime and reduce breakdowns.

Lead automation and process improvement projects.

Supply Chain & Inventory

Coordinate with procurement, planning, and stores teams.

Ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials and components.

Optimize inventory levels and reduce wastage.

Ensure on-time dispatch of finished products.

Cost Control & Profitability

Monitor manufacturing costs and conversion costs.

Drive cost reduction projects and productivity improvements.

Improve plant profitability through process optimization and waste reduction.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with EHS, Factory Act, Labour Laws, and statutory requirements.

Promote a zero-accident culture.

Conduct regular safety audits and training programs.

Team Leadership

Lead and develop production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams.

Establish performance KPIs and monitor team effectiveness.

Drive employee engagement, training, and succession planning.

Qualifications

./ in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

MBA Operations preferred.

Experience

15-20 years in Consumer Durables / Home Appliances Manufacturing.

Minimum 5 years as Plant Head / Factory Head / Operations Head.

Experience in Juicer Mixer Grinder, Small Kitchen Appliances, Fans, Motors, or Consumer Electronics manufacturing preferred.
