pl/sql developer job details: responsibilities • designs, develops, enhances, debugs and implements software. troubleshoots production problems related to software applications • familiarity with software architectures, standard lifecycle concepts, practices, and procedures for development of java based applications to include graphical user interfaces, web services, data extraction and transformation • significant knowledge of pl/ sql including tuning, triggers, and stored procedures • prepare and package scripts and code across development, test and qa environments • participate in change control planning for production deployments • desire to learn new skills and improve existing ones • strong analytical skills • team building skills and exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills basic qualifications: • bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems • 5 + years of oracle database development experience with latest development skills on oracle • experience using the plsql developer or toad software packages • experience with writing ad hoc scripts and stored procedures • experience developing queries, procedures, and reports for enterprise oracle environment • performance analysis with large data sets • experience in designing and maintaining logical and physical data models • experience in the design, development, and maintenance of etl processes • experience performing sql and pl/sql tuning • experience writing stored procedures, packages and functions using pl/sql. • ability to create and tune complex sql statements. • experience using toad, pl/sql developer, etc. • must also be capable of working independently with a minimum amount of supervision. • good work ethic and ability to work well under pressure • ability to be a key contributor in a team-oriented environment. • knowledge of microsoft sql server and t-sql is a plus.
