Piping Engineer

Job Title: Piping Engineer (preferably CADWorx)

Job Description:

To support engineering and project teams by preparing accurate 3D models,

drawings, and documentation in line with project requirements, ensuring

compliance with industry standards and internal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

€¢ Provide technical drawing support to the Sales and Applications teams.

€¢ Set up project specifications and pipe classes in 3D CAD software

(preferably CADWorx) before starting 3D modeling or GA drawings.

€¢ Develop 3D CAD models, P&ID, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings.

€¢ Prepare 3D models of equipment such as pumps, strainers, vessels, etc.

€¢ Generate modules, blocks, viewports, and templates; proficient use of

AutoCAD is essential.

€¢ Conduct design reviews using Navisworks to identify and resolve any model

conflicts.

€¢ Extract and review piping isometric drawings for accuracy and compliance.

€¢ Prepare structural detail drawings as required.

€¢ Ensure adherence to PMO processes, standards, and procedures throughout

the project lifecycle.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

€¢ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

€¢ Minimum of 2 years€™ experience in piping design within the Oil & Gas or

Process Industry.

€¢ Sound knowledge of Oil & Gas equipment, instrumentation, piping systems,

and structural components.

€¢ Understanding of ergonomic requirements as per ISO and OSHA standards

for platforms, ladders, walkways, and valve access.

€¢ Proficiency in AutoCAD and CADWorx; familiarity with Navisworks is

preferred.

€¢ Ability to interpret and apply industry codes and standards effectively.

Supervision and Work Management:

€¢ Responsible for the quality and productivity of own work.

€¢ Capable of estimating time and resources required for assigned tasks.

€¢ Escalate quality, budget, or schedule-related issues in a timely manner.
