Job Description

the perfusionist is responsible for safely managing the physiological and metabolic needs of the patient during cardiac surgeries and other medical procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. this includes setting up and operating the heart-lung machine, monitoring blood gases and electrolytes, adjusting flow rates as needed, and ensuring the patient's vital signs remain stable throughout the procedure.
