The job of a Foundry Pattern Maker involves designing, constructing, modifying, and maintaining the patterns and core boxes used to create molds for metal casting. This role requires a blend of technical skill, precision craftsmanship, and knowledge of metallurgy and casting processes.

Core Responsibilities

Interpretation of Technical Documents: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and 3D CAD models to determine specifications and plan operational sequences.

Pattern Construction: Construct patterns and core boxes using various materials such as wood, metal (aluminum), plastic, resin, and fiberglass. This involves cutting, shaping, fitting, and assembling components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery like lathes and milling machines.
