Opening For Patent Associate

We are seeking a confident and energetic team player with excellent technical and analytical abilities, who can prioritise workflow, to meet deadlines and manage a variety of tasks and responsibilities, without compromising on quality.

Job Location: Chennai/Coimbatore

Primary Responsibilities

Understand invention disclosures across a variety of domains independently, conduct discussions with inventors, and craft patent specifications

Conduct patent and non-patent literature searches, including prior art, freedom-to-operate, and invalidation searches

Who can Apply?

/, preferably in ECE/CS/IT/Electrical/Mechanical/Automobile/ AI&DS domains, with an in-depth knowledge of IPR, and Indian Patent Law and practice

Independently crafted at least 10-20 published patent specifications (brownie points for those with prosecution experience as well)

Technically sound, with strong written and verbal communication skills

Desire to learn, and suggest and implement new initiatives

Indian Patent Agent qualification is preferred (or willingness to become one)

Qualities

Sound interdisciplinary knowledge

Independently and accurately craft patent specifications and/or prosecute patent applications, with minimal support

Ability to brainstorm with inventors, to identify and fill-in gaps in invention disclosures

Education: ECE/CS/IT/Electrical/Mechanical/Automobile/AI&DS
