position summary: repair and restore damaged vehicle panels to high-quality standards
experience: minimum 5 years of experience as a panel beater, trade apprenticeship preferred
responsibilities:
• vehicle assessment to identify panel damage and additional repair requirements
• panel repair and restoration, including removal, straightening, and dent repair
• surface preparation and refinishing, including sanding, priming, painting, and polishing
• quality assurance to ensure repaired panels meet industry standards
• documentation and reporting of repairs performed and estimates for customers/insurance purposes
skills:
• proficiency in panel repair techniques, welding, and dent removal
• in-depth knowledge of automotive body construction and repair principles
• ability to read and interpret technical repair manuals and specifications
• attention to detail, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• familiarity with industry-standard tools, equipment, and safety practices
• effective communication skills for team collaboration and customer interaction
• physical stamina for working in a demanding environment
tools and equipment: hydraulic jacks, pulling equipment, hammers, welding equipment, precision measuring instruments, sanders/grinders, spray guns, body filler, polishing/buffing equipment
