€¢ Taking part in health educational activities of patient / family.

Hands & takes over the patient/OT equipment/supply.

€¢ Assist in checking/maintaining inventory of all supplies.

€¢ Maintain proper supply of linen & instruments.

€¢ Packing linen & instruments.

€¢ Getting the linen & instruments autoclaved on time.

€¢ To arrange all necessary linen, instruments sets & other items needed for the surgery.

€¢ Receiving the patient from ward/recovery staff by checking all details- files, investigation reports including films.

€¢ Ensure the consent & PAC, patient is nil orally, jewelries, dentures, eye lenses, Nail Polish etc are removed.

€¢ Confirmation of blood arrangement if any.

€¢ Ensure the autoclaved linen & instruments are available on time.

€¢ To scrub & assist for surgery by maintaining all aseptic techniques.

€¢ Ensure the accuracy of sponges, gauze & instruments before and after surgery.

€¢ Counter checking of Pre Operative Checklist & verifying the Surgical sites Surgery and procedures.

€¢ Maintain the compliance of Surgical Safety Checklist.

€¢ To send the sample safely to Lab. with documentation.

€¢ Assist in transferring the patient from OT table to recovery with all documents.
