Networking Engineer - Kolkata

JOB CRITERIA

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Network Design and Configuration:

 Develop and implement network architecture, including LAN, WAN, and VLAN setups.

 Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers.

 Ensure network services are optimally configured including VPNs and QoS.

2. Network Maintenance and Monitoring:

 Perform regular network maintenance, system upgrades and performance tuning.

 Monitor network performance and availability of network servers using diagnostic and analytics tools.

 Document network infrastructure, network configuration measures and procedures for 24/7 support to trading teams.

3. Troubleshooting and Support:

 Diagnose networks, troubleshoot network clogs and resolve network issues related to hardware, software or internet connectivity.

 Provide Level €“ 2 or Level €“ 3 support for WAN and LAN networks which includes Cisco equipment and F5 load balancers.

 Conduct disaster recovery operations to ensure network resilience and safeguard of network framework.

4. Network Security and Documentation:

 Plan and implement network security measures in collaboration with the IT team.

 Maintain comprehensive network documentation which includes infrastructure diagrams and runbook manuals.

 Review and update network system plans for transparency, accuracy and completeness.

5. Auditing and Compliance:

 Regularly audit company routers, switches and other related network devices to ensure compliance with standards and build logs on performance metrics.

 Evaluate network configurations and infrastructure for network security, network efficiency and compliance with overall network protocols.

6. Communication and Coordination:

 Serve as a point of contact for exchanges to resolve network-related issues impacting trading activities.

 Coordinate with exchange technical teams to troubleshoot and address network problems.

 Collaborate with vendors and IT personnel to resolve complex network issue
