the media coordinator supports the overall media strategy and is responsible for the administrative and organizational tasks necessary for campaign deployment. they manage schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring all campaigns launch on time, within budget, and adhere to set specifications.
ii. key responsibilities
a. campaign execution and logistics
media scheduling: manage and maintain detailed media schedules and content calendars across all traditional (tv, radio, print) and digital platforms.
asset coordination: coordinate the collection, preparation, and delivery of creative assets (advertisements, videos, ad copy) to media outlets and vendors, ensuring they meet all technical specifications and deadlines.
vendor liaison: serve as the primary point of contact for external media vendors, publishers, and agencies for trafficking instructions, material delivery, and invoice processing.
budget tracking: monitor media budgets and expenditures meticulously, processing invoices and ensuring all placements are billed correctly and align with the planned allocation.
b. monitoring and reporting
campaign monitoring: track the daily performance and execution of live media campaigns, proactively identifying and troubleshooting any placement or technical issues.
data collection: gather performance data and metrics (impressions, clicks, reach, engagement) from various media platforms (., google analytics, social media insights).
reporting: compile, generate, and present initial performance reports to the media planner or manager, offering basic insights and flagging key trends or anomalies.
compliance: ensure all media placements comply with relevant industry guidelines, internal brand safety standards, and legal requirements.
c. administration and organization
documentation: maintain organized records and a database of media rates, vendor contracts, insertion orders, campaign performance results, and creative archives.
research: assist the media planning team by conducting basic research on media trends, new platform opportunities, and competitive activity.
internal communication: facilitate clear and timely communication between the creative, marketing, and media planning teams to ensure strategic alignment.
