Job Description

Key Responsibilities:-

Lead and manage the Mechanical Maintenance Department of the Chemical Plant.

Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance strategies.

Ensure uninterrupted plant operations by minimizing equipment failures and downtime.

Supervise the maintenance of pumps, compressors, gearboxes, blowers, agitators, heat exchangers, reactors, tanks, pipelines, valves, boilers, and utility systems.

Plan and execute annual plant shutdowns and maintenance schedules.

Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability improvement initiatives.

Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor performance.

Ensure compliance with all safety standards, statutory regulations, and plant maintenance procedures.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of major equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

Coordinate with Production, Projects, Procurement, and Safety teams for smooth plant operations.

Lead and mentor maintenance engineers, supervisors, and technicians.

Prepare and review maintenance reports, KPIs, and departmental performance metrics.

Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and adherence to audit requirements.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance practices and asset management.

Required Qualifications:-

./ in Mechanical Engineering.

Additional certifications in Maintenance Management, Reliability Engineering, or Industrial Safety will be preferred.

Experience

10-16 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Maintenance.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a Chemical, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Pharmaceutical, or Process Manufacturing Plant.

Hands-on experience in shutdown planning, plant maintenance, and utility management is essential.

Safety Management Systems and Compliance

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):-

Reduction in plant downtime.

Improvement in equipment reliability and availability.

Maintenance cost optimization.

Successful execution of shutdown maintenance activities.

Compliance with safety and statutory requirements.

Team productivity and maintenance efficiency.
