Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to contribute to the development and optimisation of our integrated energy system. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to design, prototype, and test critical mechanical subsystems. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge energy technology while making a meaningful impact on building decarbonization.
Responsibilities
Assist in assembling HVAC components,
Hands-on involvement in system assembly and installation
Engaging in field deployment, testing, and optimisation
Support component selection, hydronic piping layout, and system commissioning
Help with testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation of pilot installations
Work with refrigeration components, including EEVs, solenoid valves, and sensors.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles and a strong foundation in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to evaluate performance data and solve technical challenges.
Excellent Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings effectively.
Basic Project Management skills and the ability to manage time efficiently in team projects.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with heat pumps, HVAC, hydronic systems, or thermal storage
Familiarity with cleantech, energy storage, microgrids, or grid-interactive technologies
