In 30th September 1974, Our U N Murugesan & Co., shortly termed as U&Me was established by Shri. . Murugesan. In earlier stages, Lungies are printed with wooden blocks. Later U & Me have done printing on a wet cloth and slowly imposed it on Lungies too. Then screen prints got developed at that time. Art print and Wax print have been done in sequence at U&Mes own unit named Subbulakshmi Wax Prints. Suguna print has become very famous and created a benchmark design in this industry which was made by U & Me. In 1997 Mr. got into the business and took charge of a division.
