Designation :- Logistics Manager

Qualification:- Diploma In Import/Export Engineering

Experience :- 10 Years

Salary:- As Per Interview

Gender:- Male

Job Description:- i)Manage imports of machinery, equipment, and raw materials for the pharmaceutical factory.

ii) Coordinate and negotiate with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and customs authorities.

iii) Oversee procurement, inventory management, and supplier coordination for efficient factory operations.

iv) Ensure regulatory compliance, including duty/VAT exemptions, export incentives, and licensing requirements.

v) Assess duty and exemption benefits by obtaining complete product or capital goods knowledge before importing.

vi) Develop and implement SOPs for customs clearance, imports, exports, warehousing, and transportation.

vii) Optimize total costs for international freight, ex-works pickup, domestic transportation, and import clearance.

viii) Manage distribution and logistics for both local and export markets from Uganda.

ix) Sort queries raised by Customs & National Drug Authority for hassle-free clearance of export and import shipments.

x) Monitor and track daily execution of export/import shipments and clearances.

xi) Develop real-time tracking for end-to-end shipment visibility through logistics partners.

xii) Prepare monthly MIS reports for imports, exports, exemptions, and duties.

xiii) Lead and supervise a team to ensure smooth execution of logistics and supply chain functions.
