Lifting Equipment Surveyor
Location: Turkmenistan, Kiyanly
ES Depginli Adim is seeking a qualified Lifting Equipment Surveyor to support oil and gas projects in Turkmenistan, performing inspection, testing, and certification activities for cranes, lifting equipment, lifting accessories, and cargo-handling equipment at onshore and offshore facilities.
Position Overview:
The Lifting Equipment Surveyor will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and certifying in-service lifting equipment within oil and gas facilities. The role includes assessing equipment condition, verifying compliance with applicable international standards, preparing inspection reports and certificates, and supporting safe lifting equipment operations in live plant environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Carry out inspection, testing, and certification of cranes, lifting equipment, lifting accessories, and cargo-handling equipment
Perform in-service inspections within live plant, onshore, and offshore oil and gas environments
Assess equipment condition, identify defects, and provide technical recommendations
Review and verify lifting equipment documentation, inspection records, certificates, and test reports
Ensure inspection activities comply with applicable international standards, codes, and client requirements
Prepare accurate inspection reports, certificates, and technical documentation
Coordinate with site teams, maintenance personnel, lifting personnel, and inspection/NDT specialists as required
Support safe execution of lifting equipment inspection activities in accordance with site HSE requirements
Provide technical input during inspection planning, equipment assessment, and certification review
Maintain strict adherence to site safety procedures and protocols
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid LEEA TEAM Card with authority as an Authorized Inspector is mandatory
Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years experience as an Authorized Inspector for inspection, testing, and certification of cranes and lifting equipment
Experience must include in-service equipment or live plant environments within the oil and gas industry
Good command of written and spoken English
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:
Sound knowledge of international standards and codes relating to lifting and cargo-handling equipment, including ASME , ASME , ASME , ASME , ASME , ASME , API RP 8B, API RP 2C, API RP 2D, API RP 9A, API RP 9B, EN , and ISO 4309
Good working knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing techniques
Previous experience in oil and gas onshore and offshore facilities, live plant environments, or operational assets is preferred
Demonstrated competence in technical report writing
Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations when required
Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices
