Responsibilities:

Assist in food preparation tasks, such as chopping, slicing, and peeling ingredients.

Measure and assemble ingredients according to recipes and portion sizes.

Set up workstations with necessary equipment and utensils.

Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain hygiene standards.

Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables.

Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils.

Store food items in designated containers and assist with inventory management.

Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with established guidelines.

Assist in receiving and inspecting food deliveries.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely food production.

Follow instructions from the chef or kitchen supervisor.

Requirements:

Previous experience as a Kitchen Helper or in a similar role is preferred.

Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.

Understanding of proper food handling and safety protocols.

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.

Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in ingredient measurement and food preparation.

Good communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn and take direction.
