Job Description

Implement and monitor Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) programs as per NABH standards.

Develop, review, and update infection control policies, SOPs, and manuals.

Conduct Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) and gap analysis for accreditation readiness.

Perform surveillance of Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs) and analyse infection trends.

Ensure compliance with biomedical waste management (BMW), CSSD, housekeeping, and laundry protocols.

Coordinate with Infection Control Committee (ICC) meetings and maintain documentation.

Train hospital staff (clinical & non-clinical) on infection control practices and NABH requirements.

Support hospitals during internal audits, mock drills, and external accreditation assessments.

Assist in preparation and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Maintain records related to infection control indicators, audits, and reports.

Coordinate with quality managers and consultants for overall accreditation compliance.
