- Effective verbal and written communication of strategy, planning, results and issues to senior management and the business.
- Maintain and develop effective working relationships across the business and work constructively as part of the Commercial & Operations team as required.
- Evaluate new and existing engineering technologies related to heavy lifting operations, such as crane systems, rigging equipment, and load monitoring systems. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and identify potential improvements or modifications.
- Collaborate with both internal and external project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive plans for heavy lift operations, as per relevant Australian Standards.
- Develop and coach sub-ordinates and other team members as appropriate.
- Develop tools and assist with training to ensure that the business complies with world's best practices and sets new industry standards.
- On call at all times to receive calls from clients and staff within working hours and outside of normal working hours.
- Other duties as required by the General manager - Technical, COO and CEO.
- Ensure compliance to the latest Australian Standards and Codes of Practice across Australia.
- Develop in conjunction with the team further customised tools (software).
- Develop and implement appropriate business processes, document procedures and checklists in collaboration with Business Unit Managers relating to new business activity, intercompany activity, and Projects.
- Assist Business Development with production of presentations and documentation for future projects, tenders, proposals and execution.
- Assist as and when required with engineering design of lifting devices, load support beams, stools, transportation equipment, load restraint diagrams, lifting studies and alternate lift and transport works.
