A Ground Staff Executive ensures smooth airport operations by assisting passengers with check-in, boarding, and baggage, handling ticketing/reservations, resolving queries, and coordinating with flight/security teams for safety, comfort, and on-time aircraft turnaround, focusing heavily on customer service and adherence to regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Passenger Handling: Greeting, checking documents (tickets, passports), issuing boarding passes, managing queues, and assisting passengers with special needs (elderly, disabled, families).
Check-in & Ticketing: Processing passenger check-ins, tagging and managing luggage, selling tickets, and handling reservations.
Baggage Services: Loading/unloading, tracking, and managing claims for lost or delayed baggage.
Boarding & Departure: Making announcements, verifying documents at gates, managing boarding, and ensuring smooth deplaning.
Customer Service: Answering questions, resolving complaints, providing flight updates (delays, weather), and ensuring passenger comfort.
Aircraft Operations Support: Coordinating with flight crew, ground engineers, catering, and cleaning for efficient aircraft turnaround.
Safety & Security: Implementing security protocols, conducting checks, and assisting during emergencies.
Communication: Maintaining clear communication with all airport departments, flight crew, and air traffic control.
