A Fitter, or Pipe Fitter works on a construction site to install industrial pipework in factories and large buildings. Their duties installing and repairing pipes using welding methods, completing jobs and ensuring safety a site. Fits and assembles structural frameworks and housings from materials, such as angle iron, I-beams, and plate steel, using hand-tools and welding equipment. Examines blueprints and materials list to obtain parts specifications.
