we are looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to head our finance team. the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial functions of the company.

key responsibilities

strategic financial leadership

- partner with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.

- provide financial insights to support business planning, investment decisions, and growth initiatives.

financial planning & analysis

- lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning process.

- monitor performance metrics and provide actionable analysis and recommendations.

accounting & reporting

- oversee day-to-day finance operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.

- ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

- maintain compliance with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

risk management & compliance

- implement and maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices.

- oversee audit processes and ensure compliance with legal and financial regulations.

team leadership

- build, manage, and mentor a high-performing finance team.

- foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

requirements

- bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting & ca qualified

- 4-5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within the media or entertainment sector

- strong understanding of revenue models in media (., advertising, subscription, licensing, production)

- proven track record of managing budgets, forecasts, and financial operations

- excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

- strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels

- proficient in financial software and tools (., erp systems, excel, bi tools)

mandatory criteria (can't be neglected during screening):

- need ca qualified candidates.

- candidates from bangalore or karnataka are only preferred

- preferred candidates from - media and entertainment industry and second preference from ecommerce industry.

- looking for immediate joiners or maximum 15 days of notice period candidates.

- candidate should have 4-5+ years of progressive financial experience.

- candidate should have strong understanding of revenue models in media (., advertising, subscription, licensing, production)
