the hod of department of finance at isbr is looking for a highly qualified and experienced finance professor to join our team. the ideal candidate will have a phd in finance or a related field, as well as experience teaching finance courses at the university level. he or she will be expected to teach a variety of finance courses, including corporate finance, investments, and financial markets. the successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the department’s research initiatives and participate in departmental governance.

a finance hod has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

• conducting research in their area of expertise and publishing peer reviewed articles in academic journals

• participating in academic activities such as conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposiums to share research findings with peers and colleagues

• developing curriculum, teaching courses, and providing academic counseling to students

• preparing lectures and course materials such as syllabi, lecture notes, and reading lists

• teaching undergraduate or graduate level classes in areas such as investments, financial markets, corporate finance, risk management, accounting, and taxation

• advising students on academic issues such as choosing a major or applying to graduate school

• conducting research focused on topics such as investment strategies, risk management, tax laws, or financial planning techniques

• reviewing student papers for grammatical errors, plagiarism, and other mistakes before they are graded by professors

• develop and revise course curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments in alignment with program goals

• foster a positive learning environment that engages students and promotes active participation

• advise and mentor students on academic and professional matters

• evaluate student performance and provide feedback to support their growth and development

• serve on departmental, college, and university committees
