HOD Finance

The HOD of Department of Finance at ISBR is looking for a highly qualified and experienced finance professor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in finance or a related field, as well as experience teaching finance courses at the university level. He or she will be expected to teach a variety of finance courses, including corporate finance, investments, and financial markets. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the departments research initiatives and participate in departmental governance.

A finance HOD has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

Conducting research in their area of expertise and publishing peer reviewed articles in academic journals

Participating in academic activities such as conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposiums to share research findings with peers and colleagues

Developing curriculum, teaching courses, and providing academic counseling to students

Preparing lectures and course materials such as syllabi, lecture notes, and reading lists

Teaching undergraduate or graduate level classes in areas such as investments, financial markets, corporate finance, risk management, accounting, and taxation

Advising students on academic issues such as choosing a major or applying to graduate school

Conducting research focused on topics such as investment strategies, risk management, tax laws, or financial planning techniques

Reviewing student papers for grammatical errors, plagiarism, and other mistakes before they are graded by professors

Develop and revise course curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments in alignment with program goals

Foster a positive learning environment that engages students and promotes active participation

Advise and mentor students on academic and professional matters

Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to support their growth and development

Serve on departmental, college, and university committees
