Job Title: Estimation Engineer – Lighting/Electrical Design

Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai

Job Overview:

KTBS is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Estimation Engineer with a strong background in lighting and electrical design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and BOQs for commercial, residential, and infrastructure lighting/electrical projects, working closely with the design, procurement, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

· Analyze and interpret architectural, electrical, and lighting design drawings and specifications.

· Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documentation for lighting and electrical systems.

· Evaluate material take-offs and labor requirements for various project scopes.

· Liaise with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and lead times.

· Assist the design team with value engineering, cost optimization, and design validation.

· Coordinate with project managers to understand project timelines and budgetary requirements.

· Maintain and update internal estimation tools, price databases, and cost control systems.

· Participate in technical meetings, pre-bid discussions, and client presentations when needed.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s/Diploma degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

· 2+years of experience in estimation, preferably in lighting or electrical project environments.

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, design layouts, and AutoCAD drawings.

· Strong knowledge of lighting controls, electrical standards (such as IS/IEC/NBC), and wiring systems.

· Hands-on experience with MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software (., Bluebeam, CCS Candy, etc.).

· Excellent numerical skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to estimation.

· Strong communication and coordination skills.

Preferred:

· Experience with lighting design tools like Dialux/Relux is a plus.

· Exposure to large-scale commercial or hospitality projects.
