Key Responsibilities
Installation & Wiring
System Setup: Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and electrical schematics to plan the layout of wiring and equipment.
Hardware Assembly: Install and connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, outlets, and other components.
Infrastructure: Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors; install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Preventive Maintenance: Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
Fault Finding: Use testing devices such as multimeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to diagnose causes of electrical problems.
Component Replacement: Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
Safety & Compliance
Regulatory Standards: Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.
Safety Protocols: Follow strict LOTO (Lock-Out, Tag-Out) procedures to ensure equipment is de-energized before performing maintenance.
Testing: Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
