key responsibilities
electricians perform a variety of hands-on and analytical tasks on a daily basis: 
installation: installing new electrical systems, wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures based on technical diagrams and blueprints.
maintenance and repair: performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on existing systems and equipment (., transformers, generators, motors, switches) to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operation.
troubleshooting and diagnosis: using various testing devices (like multimeters and voltmeters) to identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical malfunctions and problems.
compliance and safety: adhering strictly to state and local building regulations and safety standards (such as the national electrical code) to ensure the safety of all installations and mitigate hazards.
blueprint interpretation: reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and architectural plans to plan the layout of electrical wiring and equipment accurately.
collaboration and supervision: working with other construction professionals (engineers, architects, plumbers) and potentially training or supervising apprentice electricians.
documentation: maintaining records of all work performed, including installations, repairs, and materials used.
