Responsibilities:
Installation & Wiring:
Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and other electrical components as per blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
Lay out and install wiring for new electrical circuits, equipment, and panels.
Ensure all installations comply with the Indian Electricity Rules, relevant IS (Indian Standard) codes, and company standards.
Troubleshooting & Repair:
Diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing devices (multimeter, megger, clamp meter, etc.) to identify faulty components, wiring, or systems.
Perform timely repairs or replacements of defective electrical parts, wiring, fixtures, and equipment (., motors, pumps, lighting, control systems).
Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and power outages to minimize downtime.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
Identify potential electrical hazards and implement corrective measures.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere strictly to all electrical safety codes, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures, and company safety policies.
Ensure all electrical work is performed safely to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage.
Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Blueprint & Schematic Interpretation:
Accurately read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to execute tasks effectively.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance:
Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical testing equipment.
Ensure proper calibration and functioning of testing instruments.
Collaboration:
Work effectively with other maintenance technicians (., fitters, mechanics), engineers, and production teams to coordinate work and resolve issues.
Provide technical support and guidance as needed.
Local Communication:
Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments. Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is essential for understanding instructions and collaborating on the shop floor/site. Basic English proficiency may be required for understanding technical manuals or safety guidelines.
