job purpose
lead the team in a cluster of villages to bring transformation of rural communities – transformation in attitude leading to sustainable development
key responsibilities women empowerment through shgs: build relationship with government agencies for formation of shgs, sustain shgs, leverage schemes and benefits towards livelihood creation
people development: develop the community development officers, engineers,
agronomists to unleash the potential & groom them to become future cluster heads / specialists
agriculture & allied activities like livestock management: forge collaborations with government institutions & like-minded ngos to bring in expertise in required areas. facilitate formation of community-based organization like farmers groups, clubs etc to improve family income infrastructure development: work closely with community identifying government structure in villages & repair them (anganwadis / school building / health centres) this entry point activity is to build trust in the community/village
environment: work closely with community and government for undertaking environmental related works including afforestation.
job requirements qualifications
msw or pg in social work / sociology / anthropology with at least 10 years experience in community development
should be comfortable living in rural communities (tier iii/iv towns)
need to be mobile & physically fit
positive attitude towards transforming the community
