job responsibilities for mechanical designer

• should have excellent working experience on solidworks.

• prepare calculations on the proposed machine before completing technical drawings

• creates cad models, including part and assembly drawings, bill of materials (boms) to

support manufacturing, testing, and assembly, and support components to assist with assembly.

• should be excellent working on weldment, sheet metal, simulation, part assembly, fea.

• sketch and draw up designs using input from engineers and the production team

• calculate factors like tolerance, dimensions, and thermal and structural analysis

• create designs in line with company procedure, regulations, and client standards

• submit drawings to upper management and construction teams

• use customer feedback and data to upgrade, improve or repair the company's existing machines

• provide support during the building and installation process, ensuring that the machine is built properly and according to design specifications

• finalize designs and send prints to the production department

• inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity

• perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for production.

• ensure raw material used in the product is as per design requirements.

• ensure parts going to the vendor for further work meet customer expectations and as per design.

• write reports to document deficiencies and errors of products

• inspect products to ensure that they meet quality standards

• disassemble product parts to inspect them individually

• monitor production operations to ensure conformance to company specifications

• ensure that the parts received from the third party vendors like cnc cutting and bending system suppliers to ensure that they are as per the given dimensions and tolerance – then only accept the parts
