chair side assistance:
prepare the treatment room and sterilize all instruments and equipment before and after each patient.
assist the dentist during all dental procedures, passing instruments, using suction, and keeping the work area clean and dry.
prepare and mix dental materials, such as fillings, cements, and impressions, as instructed by the dentist.
take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as needed, ensuring patient safety and proper technique.
patient care:
greet and prepare patients for treatment, making them feel comfortable and at ease.
provide post-operative instructions to patients in a clear and understandable manner.
answer patient questions and address their concerns regarding procedures, ensuring a positive patient experience.
infection control & sterilization:
strictly follow all infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to maintain a hygienic and safe environment.
clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments, handpieces, and other equipment according to established standards.
manage and dispose of medical waste properly.
administrative & laboratory tasks:
maintain accurate patient records and update treatment information in the clinic's software.
manage and track dental supplies, placing orders when necessary to ensure adequate stock.
assist with basic laboratory duties, such as pouring models and trimming study casts.
schedule and confirm patient appointments, if required.
team collaboration:
work collaboratively with the entire dental team, including dentists, receptionists, and other assistants, to ensure a seamless workflow.
