Database Developer

we are seeking a skilled and experienced database application developer & manager to

design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance database systems that

support key business functions. this role requires strong technical expertise, leadership

capability, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to deliver reliable data

solutions.

key responsibilities

design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance database solutions to

support mission-critical applications.

optimize overall database performance through proactive monitoring, tuning, and

troubleshooting.

collaborate with cross-functional teamssoftware engineers, data scientists, business

analyststo understand requirements and deliver efficient data solutions.

lead and execute data migration and integration initiatives across diverse platforms

and systems.

establish and enforce best practices for database architecture, data modeling, and

contribute to architectural discussions related to database structure, scalability, and

mentor and guide junior team members by conducting code reviews, technical

requirements

education & experience

bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or related field, or

equivalent hands-on experience.

technical skills

strong expertise in relational database management systems such as postgresql and

oracle.

ability to write and optimize complex sql queries, stored procedures, and database

objects.

good understanding of cloud-based database technologies (., gcp cloud sql,

aws rds, azure sql database).

exposure to nosql databases such as mongodb or dynamodb.

experience with database performance monitoring and automated testing tools.

proficiency in python scripting for automation and integration tasks.

soft skills

strong problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.

ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

preferred qualifications

experience with data security, compliance standards (such as gdpr or hipaa), and

disaster-recovery planning.

build and maintain technical documentation for all managed applications and keep

team evaluation and development:

conduct regular performance reviews and one-on-one meetings with engineers.

identify training and development opportunities to foster a high-performing and motivated

engineering team.

status updates:

provide weekly updates on project status, team performance, and any critical issues or

escalations to senior engineering managers.
