responsibilities
● estimates cost for engineering projects based on an analysis of project technical
requirements.
● collects and analyses all projects costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment, and
tooling to ensure estimates are accurate.
● being a cost estimation engineer should identify and quantifies potential cost
uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs.
● updates cost as necessary based on new information and project scope changes.
● utilize cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software models and packages to
prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data.
● prepare cost break up for individual items taking into account base price and associated
overheads to determine appropriate unitized cost for a product or product assemblies.
● to minimize the cost of a project and enhance value for money while still achieving the
required standards and quality
job qualifications
● bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 2 to 3 years of experience.
● hands on experience in costing projection and estimation for the project execution.
● sound knowledge on construction techniques
● experience in working for high value projects
● basic knowledge on 3d printing.
